De Beers Consolidated Mines SA:
The development of a Product Support process during the three phases of product acquisition as defined in their Product Life Cycle. The process focused on integrating the product support requirements with the design of new equipment to ensure that the engineering support required in the operational phase of the product, is catered for. (Operational Readiness).
Assisted with the effective utilisation of the Project Support Office. With the identification of areas of improvement, the Administration of the monthly “work in progress” meetings and feedback to management on over 120 projects with an excess of 4000 tasks.
The assessment of the 80 projects completed during 2002. The purpose was to evaluate efficiency in service and project delivery to the organisation’s clients and individual project performance. Deficiencies in Project Management, Planning and Execution were highlighted.
Compiling and structuring the Feasibility Study for the Finsch Mine Treatment Plant Upgrade Project, for submission to the board.
The analysis and development of optimized business processes for TSS Metallurgy and the development of the ‘To Be’ process. These processes were developed using ARIS software.

MegChem Projects (Pty) Ltd:
MegChem (Pty) Ltd was tasked by Mozal (Mozambique) to deliver a “turnkey” Liquid Pitch Plant for use in the aluminium production process at Mozal. ESA was tasked to develop and deliver the required support training manuals and training to ensure that the support personnel in the Matola harbour are competent in conducting the necessary maintenance tasks. This project was conducted in a very short space of time and focused on equipping the artisans with sufficient knowledge of the plant to ensure that the plant production and functional objectives are not compromised in any way.
Mobile Telecommunication Limited Namibia:
Embarked on a Business Process Improvement exercise that started in June 1999. The project’s objectives were to develop processes and procedures that would assist the organisation in maintaining the competitive position they enjoyed for five years. This organisation also experienced extensive growth and as a result required processes that would grow with the organisation. The project was concluded successfully at the end of 2000.
Palabora Copper Mine – November 2014- March 2015:
Operational Readiness Feasibility Study for the new Lift II project;
Scope Organizational development plan and deliver requirements in order to establish the Training Needs Analysis for the new equipment and technology to be installed on the mine.
